The second ECCOMAS thematic conference on Biomedical Engineering will be held from 28th to 30nd of October 2015 in Hannover. The APG contributed with two presentations on: "Individualized Cochlear Implant Modeling based on Patient Specific Anatomy of the Cochlea W Würfel, H Lanfermann, T Lenarz and W Nogueira" and Development of a Model of the Electrically Stimulated Auditory Nerve W Nogueira, W Würfel, A Büchner and G Ashida​.

I presented two talks at the ARO:
1) Optimization of a spectral contrast enhancement algorithm using an individualized electrode nerve interface
2) Development of electric-acoustic pitch comparisons in Single-Sided-Deaf cochlear implant users. 
The second presentation was the outcome of the master thesis of Silke Klawitter.

Today I presented the updated results of the "model of music complexity for cochlear implants" at the EANO conference in Siena Italy http://www.eaono2014.org/en/welcomeaddress.

The music complexity and liking model is a computational model that should help musicians and audiologists to understand better which musis is found to be more complex by CI users.

This talk belongs to the MuSiProCI project funded by the Hearing4all Excellence Initiative,

Today I'm giving a talk on "Individualized Speech Signal Processing for Cochlear Implants" at the Cochlear Implant Congress in Hannover. More information under: http://www.mh-hannover.de/ci-kongress.html


I will present the technologies we are currently working on: 3D electrical models of the cochlea, individualized speech enhancement and automatic scene identification.
